Annual NAPCIS Conference July 28-30, 2014

 In Uncategorized

Dear NAPCIS School Members,

This year’s NAPCIS Conference focus is Catholic Identity and Common Core, transitioning to a classical liberal arts school, and new school start-up.

The conference will be located at Angelus Academy, a NAPCIS-accredited K-8 Catholic school in Springfield, VA, on July 28, 29, 30. There will also be evening talks at Homewood Suites, (about four miles from the school).

The cost of the conference is $75 per person for the registration fee and then if you chose to stay at the hotel $129 per night for room, breakfast and dinner.

REGISTRATION IS A TWO STEP PROCESS:

1. Register and pay  for the conference using the form and donate link below.  The $75 fee gets you access to all the talks and lunch on July 29. NB: Multiple registrations require separate submissions.

2. Register for your hotel room, breakfasts and dinners by  calling Homewood Suites, (about four miles from the school) at  (703) 866-6045  or  1-866-460-7456  for the nights of July 27 – 29th, the room rate is $129 per night plus taxes. This includes a complimentary breakfast and dinner, WiFi, parking, plus a shuttle between the hotel and school as well as the hotel and local Metro station. There are a limited number of rooms available, so please do not wait too long before making reservations.

If you wish to make other housing and dining arrangements you are free to do so but may miss out on some great networking opportunities.

The closest and most convenient airport is Reagan National Airport. From the airport, you can take the METRO (subway system) to Springfield. From there, the hotel shuttle can either pick you up or you can take the short cab ride over to the hotel or to the Angelus Academy if you are not staying at the hotel. While BWI and Dulles airports may be a bit cheaper, unless you plan on renting car, the transportation costs will exceed any savings that you may derive from arriving at those airports. We will not have conference transportation services available from the airports.

For any questions, please contact Denise Donohue at  (940) 390-6902 or denise.donohue@avemaria.edu . Feel free to distribute this and the schedule below to your staff members. Looking forward to see you!
