Chesterton Academy of St. Mary’s

The Chesterton Academy of St. Mary’s is a classical high school in St Mary’s County, Maryland. We are sponsored by the Chesterton Schools Network, a network of thirty-four schools in the US, Canada, and Europe.

We were founded by a group of families and educators in Southern Maryland who wish to provide students with a rigorous classical education rooted in the Catholic faith. The school follows the Socratic method of teaching, with a focus on Classical Literature, Philosophy, Science, Mathematics, History, and Latin. The Chesterton Academy of St Mary’s is joyfully Catholic. Students grow in faith through attendance at daily Mass, annual spiritual retreats, courses infused with Catholic teaching, and a staff in love with Jesus and who are asked to take an oath of fidelity to the Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
