Pope John Paul II Academy in Montrose, Colorado has several teacher openings for the 2025 – 2026 school year. Located on the “Western Slope” we are within a short drive of Ouray, Moab and the Black Canyon National Park is literally in our backyard. Our experienced mission-oriented faculty is a team of dynamic, faithful Catholic Christians, striving to live out the New Evangelization inspired by St. Pope John Paul II. Basic Qualifications:
- Practicing Catholic who is committed to teaching within the tradition of the Catholic Faith.
- A love for working with children.
- Strong classroom management.
- Ability to differentiate instruction according to varying learning styles and levels.
- Professional, organized, and punctual.
- Strong oral and writing communication skills.
- Team player, naturally building healthy, professional relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Pedagogical virtues of patience, clarity, and kindness.
- Knowledge and love for the Catholic Faith and its tradition of academic excellence.
- Experience in education is preferred but not required (teacher licensure is not required).
