Music Teacher

Lumen Christi Catholic School in Indianapolis is seeking a Music Teacher for the 2025-26 school year to teach music classes in grades 1-8 and lead three choirs in grades 2-12. The position also includes leading students in school performances each semester and in music at daily Mass. The position is part time, with the possibility of a full-time position that also includes high school English. Experience with the Ward Method of Music Instruction is preferred, but training will be provided if needed.

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualities and skills:

·         Love for the Catholic Faith and fidelity to the Magisterium of the Church

·         Love for students and good rapport

·         Effective classroom management and high expectations for students

·         Professionalism: organized, punctual, and collaborative, with strong communication skills

Teacher certification is not a requirement.
