NAPCIS Welcomes New Executive Director
After twenty-nine years of inspired and dedicated leadership, Eileen Cubanski retired as Executive Director of NAPCIS at the end of June 2024. For months prior to her retirement, she ensured a smooth transition to the new NAPCIS Executive Director, Greg Dolan.
Greg lives in Pittsburgh, PA, just a few minutes from the home in which he was born and raised. He met his wife, Meredith, in Washington, DC, where they both worked in policy on Capitol Hill. His policy work led Greg to greater interest in Catholic education and he worked for two years leading education policy advocacy for the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops.
After moving back home to Pittsburgh, Greg served on the board of his alma mater independent Catholic K-12 school in the suburbs of Pittsburgh for two years before accepting a teaching role in Fall 2020. Greg will complete a Masters in Catholic Educational Leadership from Ave Maria University in May 2025.
Greg and Meredith have three children: Bridget (8), Francis (5), and Theodore (3).
President of the Board, Dr. Dan Guernsey, said, “After 29 years of fantastic work by Eileen, NAPCIS was in a great position for this transition. The entire community is excited for this next phase and to see how Greg builds on the firm foundation built over the last three decades.“
“It is an honor to inherit the Executive Director role for NAPCIS from Eileen Cubanski. Together with a dedicated and visionary group, Eileen began this lay apostolate twenty-nine years ago this summer and it has been an integral part of the reinvigoration of Catholic education ever since,” said Greg Dolan. He added, “This is an inflection era in Catholic education. If NAPCIS members become a significant part of the future of the Church in the United States the future is bright.“
