Kolbe Academy & Trinity Prep, a Catholic school in Napa, California, is seeking a full-time teacher primarily for High School Math and Science.  Ability to teach Latin is desirable, but not necessary.  High School Science courses include Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, while Math courses range from Algebra 1 through Calculus.  Next year’s Science courses are Biology and Physics.  The teacher may also need to teach the Junior High Life Science class.  Qualified applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject and/or extensive coursework, teaching experience and/or demonstrated competence in related subjects.  Teaching experience is highly desirable, as is the ability to teach another subject, such as Latin.  Preference will be given to those who have significant teaching experience, an active teaching credential, and/or advanced coursework (e.g., a Masters degree).

Applicants must be practicing Catholics who strive to live in accordance with the 10 Commandments and the teachings of the Church, as well as being willing to affirm and model Catholic teaching.  All faculty and staff are required to pledge their fidelity to the teaching Magisterium of the Catholic Church, including to the Bishop of the Diocese of Santa Rosa.

We are looking for candidates that have a genuine love of literature and writing and understand the indispensable need and fundamental importance of grammar. A strong background in the field of education (Literature/Writing teaching experience) is also preferred.

We are also seeking a High School Religion and History Teacher for our 2013-2014 school year. We are looking for candidates that have a genuine love of the Catholic Faith and history and desire to teach others about the Faith and the central importance of understanding history from a Christocentric point of view.
